Tom halted at the door. Panic flitted through his body as he wondered who on earth could possibly want to harm his sweet Lilly. It was absurd. He rushed to the edge of the bed and grabbed the mans shoulders. "What doo you know?" Tom hissed in a paniced whisper "Whats happening to my Lilly?" Tom pulled the strange mans eyes level to his. Blue eyes met stormy grey ones and Tom seemed to try to pluck the knowledge from the mans very being.
"I have been sent to protect Lilly, that is all i can tell you sir, and that is all i know." The mans stormy eyes drooped with fatigue, the pain in his body a mear far away ach as the weariness took hold of him. "If you wouldnt mind sir, please let me rest, i shall entertain the idea of telling you more in the morning, but for now i big you a good night. I will not harm your Lilly, of this i promise." Tom let loose of the mans shoulders and he fell back onto the soft feather pillows.
Tom heaved a sigh. Its funny, he thought, how the man seemed to read his mind.

Sun Lilly though, sun is bright. She shuffled up onto her elbows. Since her bed was occupied, Lilly slept in the guest chamber, and that bed was far from comfortable. There was a strip of sun peaking in from the gap between her two flowing curtans and it seemed to settle directly in her eyes. Lilly blinked a few time to wipe away the cobwebs that clouded her mind from last nights slumber and eased her legs over the edge of the bed. She dressed, as always, in a simple dress lilac in color that diped dangerously low. She knew that such an obsenity was not in fasion, but it was all she could afford on a bakers pay and she was quite comfortable with it now.
Lilly creaked down the wooden steps and into the kitchen of her shop to make tea for the gentalman up stairs and grabbed a dish of warm water to clean off any wounds that may have opened during his rest. She then climbed back up the stairs and lifted her fist to tap on the door, but before she could accomplish that, a sweet voice carried through from the other side, "You may enter Lilly." Supressing her shock, Lilly turned the brass knob and entered the room.
Laying on his bed was the man, but he looked different somehow. It was as though he had this air of importance arround him, it was almost...magical. Lilly shook her head, of course magic wasn't here, there was no possable way that it could have found... She shook her head again, must not dwell on such worries, it had been three years since she left Washinghams mannor and she should move on with her life and stop having these little worries.
"Did you have a good rest sir? I pray the bed was comfortable enough for you." Lilly went to set his tea down on the table beside his bed, hoping he would stop looking at her so she could concentrate on the task at hand. She sat down on the side of his bed and peered into his eyes to see if the puples were dialated and gasped. Why, that mans eyes were red! Not the whites that will sometimes get the red veins if the wind is blowing extra harshly, but the actual color of his eyes! Lilly blinked and the red was gone, replaced by a calm stormy grey. Get a hold of yourself, Lilly scolded. The man chuckled. "Is there something amusing sir? I am glad that you are laughing instead of crying out in pain. That means that i did my part right." And she was pleased, his wounds were looking marvelous, healing rather quickly and cleanly. "Ah, but it was your expression," He smiled up at her. "It reminded me of a calf in the same pin as a wolf, i assure you that i mean no danger here." He chuckled again and Lilly retorted, "You sir are hardly a wolf. Why look at you, lying here pittifuly. I would think that you were the calf and i the wolf, for you see, i do have the upper hand." Lilly looked at him seriously, but she couldnt supress her smile from anyone. "Would you mind telling me your name. I feel at a disadvantage, you knowing mine and all." he laughed, "Why you yourself have just said that you had the upperhand, what more do you need to hold over me?" Lilly put her hand to her breast in mock offence, "Why i never suggested that i would hold anything over you! Actually... now that i think of it, are you a noble man Mr...?" He laughed again and looked at the beauty sitting next to him. This Lilly was obviously un-intimidated by social edicate; why here she was, sitting on the edge of the bed of a man that she had just met the night before, her hand lightly resting on his chest (though he knew that she wasn't aware that it was there) and laughing with him. He relished in the fact that he was not guardian over a weak simpering maiden, but a strong bold one. This one could hold her own in a fight, he knew just by looking at the gently sculpted muscle on her arms .
"You can call me Jaiden." He smiled again.
"Jaiden," She tasted on her tongue and smiled. "Well, i hope you like it here Jaiden, because from the looks of the brake in that leg that you are going to be staying here for quite some time. Dont worry, ill make the time pass by quickly though. How do you feel about sewing? I could bring you up some thread and cloth." She smiled up wickedly at him. Jaiden groaned.
"Ill take that as a no then. Good think too, because my sewing is just short of atrocious and the only thread i keep in here is thread to stitck flesh." She looked at him expectantly, as though waiting for him to repremant her on her lack of sewing skills. He could tell that she had a dozen or so retorts rehearsed for when he did. "Actually," He said with a grin, "I find it quite refreshing to have found a woman that doesnt waste her precious time sewing when she could be doing so much more with her hands while im here." He watched as her eyes widened with shock at what he had just implied and grinned as he saw that she had no retorts for his bold words. She suddenly grinned a wicked grin and said, "A yes, now tell me Mr. Jaiden, what does one do with her hands while you are here, because i want to ensure your absolute and complete comfort. Does it include a womans hands on a certain part of your body?" He bit back a laugh of shock and replied.
"Why yes actually, how did you guess?"
"Lucky i guess. And is this a part of your body that you hold very dear to yourself? One you just couldnt live without?" She still had that wicked look in her eyes as he hesitantly retorted, "...Yes."
"And could i get into trouble if i took advantage of your weakness at the moment if i chose to put my hands around it and squeeze?"
"Perhaps, but we could think about that later, no?"
"Oh but of course!" She paused, "But what do you want me to do with your body when im done?" She looked at him seriously, but behind her serious eyes, there was laughter , so Jaiden decided to take the bate. "Pardon?"
"You know, when im done strangeling you. Surely you have a preferance as to where your body goes."
Jaiden threw back his head and barked a laugh. He was sure that his stay with this miss was going to be entertaining, if nothing else.
